Stuck on "Reading Package Information"

Good news...I had given up on Presto because of this problem installing other software. I did not want to use it without Adobe reader, Java, and antivirus. It would get stuck "reading package" on install of all of these.

I found and "update" to Presto on the CNET download site. It shows as version 1.02. I uninstalled Presto, then booted to my XP, downloaded from CNET and installed. This version includes Antivirus already installed. The App Store actually works and I installed Adobe, Java and a couple of other programs.

I am so disapointed in a company I once believed in. I shared my love for Xandros Desktop all over the net, many tech sites Facebook etc. I have used Xandros Desktop 3.0 Corp. for awhile now with no glitches on my Desktop. I thought Presto was going to be a a time saver on my laptop and it has been to an extent but why should I purchase an Item that does no do what it is suppose to do. I am not asking anything more than install the damn apps I want to be product and not make me look like an idiot in front of peers that I have touted the Virtues of not just Linux but Xandros Desktop to for years. I am for the under dog I use Xandros I surf with Opera all I really want is Opera. I have used it since the very first beta when you had to pay for it so I know about loyalty. If I had known about this problem I would have downloaded a pirated copy and serial and not been disappointed, but I support the companies that produce a quality product that is useful to me. The operative word is "useful" it is no longer useful. When I Orginally tested this OS I was totally satisfied now I have purchase I have a bad taste in me mouth. I will never purchase from Xandros again.
